A place of Prayer

The church is the heart of the monastery. Seven times a day, the monks gather to give some time to God, gratuitously.

"In the liturgic celebration, the spiritual purpose of the community appears in a very special way; the deep sense of the monastic vocation and the communion of the brethren become firm and grow. The Word of God is listened to each day, the sacrifice of praise is offered to God the Father; all brethren participate to the mystery of Christ and the work of our sanctification through the Holy Ghost is achieved."
Constitutions of our Order

The monk's prayer is the work of the Holy Ghost. It is Him who teaches us to pray. It is through prayer that the monk meets God, listens to Him, talks to Him, receives His love and replies to Him. It is through prayer that he comes to know himself, to build himself, that he understands and meets best the men.
For God and for the world, the monk watches then and prays ceaselessly.

Schola

Daily timetable for liturgic offices

At Eucharist, we sing the gregorian notebook of our cistercian tradition. The other parts of our liturgy are almost all in French. Our guests may participate in all our offices. The people coming from outside may join the community for those offices which are written in blue.
